The Shadow Knight armored exo-frame is a stealth EVA (extravehicular activity) suit used for deep-sea exploration and reconnaissance. This suit is the fastest EVA suits used by the Nekton Family, but also the weakest. It is fitted with optical camouflage, rendering it invisible while active. While it can operate on land with its retractible feet, it is clumsy while doing so.

Sailfish Mode

The Sailfish mode is an upgrade made by Professor Fiction during the episode "The Race".This was added in order for the knight to try beat the fastest animals in the sea,the sailfish.The function changes the colour of the arms and legs to a blue camouflage style to indicate it is activated. It also has a sailfish fin on the back of the knight for speed.

Trivia

• This vehicle is exclusive to the animated series. In the series, Antaeus Nekton has a preference to the Shadow Knight.
• The suit is 3.2 meters tall (10.5 feet) with a displacement of 1 ton.
• Throughout the entirety of Season 1 and 2 Ant was the only one shown operating the Shadow Knight up until " The Gates" where he places Nereus inside of it for his own protection. Kaiko Nekton also used the knight while testing sailfish mode.
  • However Fontaine is depicted in the Shadow Knight in the game The Deep: Sea of Shadows.
