Jessica "Jess" Gorman is the daughter of Bob Gorman. Jess is Fontaine's best friend, and Ant has an unrequited crush on her.
History[]
Lonesome Jim[]
She and her father reveal that they only created Eve to trick the Nektons into sharing their secret hiding place where Jim was just so they could give the tortoise to Conger, who blackmailed them and said that if they didn't do this, then everything they had worked for would be gone. She later fixed her mistakes by apologizing to the Nektons and helping them rescue Jim.
Friends In Deep Places[]
She and Fontaine spend time "catching up" alone, much to the chagrin of Ant who wanted to spend time with her.
Appearance[]
Jess is a slender. She's a few inches taller than Fontaine. She has tan skin and teal eyes. She has curly, blonde hair tied back in a ponytail. She has tan lips and wears a white shirt with green outlines. She also wears jeans and a necklace, and tennis shoes.
In "Friends In Deep Places", her dive suit consists of a yellow dive mask, a full-body dive suit that is black, with purple, and green edges with a line down the middle. She wears her hair tied back in a ponytail.

Jess is usually very happy . Whenever she does something wrong, she will try to make things right. Though she's not a fan of Ant's crush on her, she doesn't want to hurt his feelings, so she just goes with it.

Jess' relationship with her father is very strong, they are extremely close in many ways. Following in his footsteps, Jess is a conservationist. Together, they travel trying to save endangered animals from extinction.

Jess and Fontaine are best friends. Every time they see each other, they find a quiet place to chat on how everything's been going.

Jess' relationship with Ant is strange one. Ant has a massive crush on her, however, Jess doesn't want to hurt Ant's feelings by saying that she doesn't like him back, so she just goes with it. It doesn't help that Jeffery doesn't like Jess and keeps spraying her with water in the face.
